Honoring Our Heroes: Celebrating Veterans at Pavion

As Veterans Day approaches, we at Pavion proudly honor the remarkable veterans among us. Their courage, dedication, and resilience have shaped our team and continue to inspire us daily. We extend our deepest gratitude to these individuals and their families for their sacrifices and invite you to join us in celebrating these heroes—and all veterans—for their service.

Pavion Veterans and Honorees:

  • Jim Tanler, Safety Director: U.S. Army military police officer (1984-1987), serving in Germany, the UK, and Maryland, later transitioning to the Fairfax County Police Department for a 28-year career.
  • Clinton E. Beach, Safety Training and Compliance Manager: U.S. Army Reserves (1989-1997), supporting soldiers during Operation Desert Storm at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
  • Chris Corbett, CTSI Founder: Served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972, laying the foundation for Pavion.
  • Terry Newkirk: Retired Army Airborne veteran with over 20 years of service, multiple deployments, and a Purple Heart recipient. He is the spouse of Courtenay Newkirk in our AFA, North Carolina office.
  • David “Bubba” James, Direct and Inside Sales, RFI: A third-generation Marine, following in the steps of his father and grandfather, who served as a cryptologist in WWII, respectively.
  • Marianne Herndon, GSA/Government Account Manager, proudly honors her son, Master Sergeant Pete Martinez, who is currently with the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
  • Michael Ingram and Anthony Tran: U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard veterans in our Greenville office, whose dedication to service continues to inspire.
  • Edward Hicks, Star Asset, Houston, TX: Served two tours as a Combat Engineer (21B) and was recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Defense, now dedicated to fire alarm safety.
  • Jason Bushey, Account Executive, RFI: Deployed to Iraq for 15 months, he values the courage and resilience of veterans and their families.
  • Becca Springer, Operations Analyst, Fire Sprinkler: Honors her husband, Army veteran and Boston firefighter Chris, who served in Kuwait and Afghanistan.
  • Shirley Iannizzi, Project Manager: Honors her father, James “Gator” Trent, Jr., who served in Korea and Vietnam, instilling strong values and inspiring her daily.
  • Corey Nydick, Security Sales Manager, remembers his grandfather, a WWII veteran and VFW post president whose recorded messages from the war are a cherished family legacy.
  • Mike Ingram, Southeast & Government Project Manager, CSPM, CSEIP, Star Asset Security: Served in the U.S. Navy from 1994-2006, following his grandfathers who served in WWII.
  • Thomas Tuck: Proudly served as an Electrician Mate on the USS Canopus AS-34, with his sons now continuing his legacy.
  • Gillian Farrell, Short Circuit Electronics: Comes from a family of British Army veterans, with her father serving in “The Troubles” and the Falklands War.
  • Edgar Lewis, Lead Technician: U.S. Marine Corps veteran, deployed to Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm in 1991.
  • Jennifer Schneider, Short Circuit Customer Service Manager, honors her sons, Gavin, who is on active duty in the Army, and Joshua, a former Marine.
  • Renee Robaina, Corporate Administrative Specialist, AFA: Proud of her stepson Giovanni, a Coast Guard service member.
  • Carlton A. Weathers, Project Coordinator, Short Circuit Electronics: Grandson of Tuskegee Airman Lt. Colonel Luke J. Weathers.
  • Wayne Bartholomew, Pavion: Graduate of the 82nd Airborne Ranger School, exemplifying excellence and commitment.
  • Aaron Williamson, Senior Integrations Specialist: Served in the U.S. Air Force (1991-2001) with his son Jonathan, now a Sergeant in the Marine Corps.
  • Steven Nice, Star Asset Security: His father’s WWII experience, captured in telegrams from his time as a POW, is a powerful reminder of resilience.
  • Hue Vuong, HR Business Partner: Hue’s family journey from Vietnam, following her father’s military service, is a testament to sacrifice and determination.
  • Herb Rosenkoff: Alan Rosenkoff’s father, a WWII B24 pilot who flew 35 bomb missions over Europe.
  • Todd Sheehy, Residential Design Manager, ECD Systems: Honoring his family’s service with military photos, including his WWII Marine grandfathers, Ervin Anderson and Robert Sheehy. Todd also served as a Marine from 1981–1985, as did Uncle Pat Anderson and Cousin Joe.

Each story here underscores the extraordinary sacrifices made by veterans and their families. This Veterans Day, we honor their service and express our profound gratitude. Thank you for your courage and dedication.
